cure4 type1

Yesterday, team Cure 4 Type 1 rocked Beat the Bridge to beat diabetes!!! It was such a blast getting everyone together for such an amazing event. We had a group of runners and a group of walkers - the kids and I were in the walker group, they were amzaing! They both were such great sports, had so much fun, and can't wait to do it again next year.  Aiden wants to name the team next year "Team Awesome", while Mikayla thinks we should be "Team Princess" :) 

It was so wonderful to whitness the sea of people who came together, formed teams, and supported not only each other and loved ones, but our common goal - an end to type 1 diabetes. 

Here at Cure 4 Type 1 we are already thinking of ideas for the next Beat the Bridge like team activities, custom apparl, and even exciting prizes to win! We hope that you will join us next year in our race to cure Type 1 Diabetes.

I am so honored to have been a co-chair for this amazing evening.  It would of never happened without the staff at JDRF Seattle Guild - I cannot thank you enough for all of your hard work, long hours, and all that you do.  Together we can change lives!  Imagine a world without type 1 diabetes - lets turn type one into type none!

And to my gorgeous son Aiden - I will never stop fighting for you.
